extreme autotomy

created for make literally anything jam '26, extreme autotomy is an abstract art comic based on a poem we wrote about various animals and their survival mechanisms, with a particular focus on autotomy. 

if you don't know what autotomy is, it's when an animal drops off part of its body and regrows it. the most common example is how lizards drop their tails to get away from predators. also, autotomy literally means "self-severance", and we think that's fucking metal. pretty relatable, too...! 

with that said, extreme autotomy is also a piece about childhood trauma, abuse, and plurality, so please read with care and caution.
