insects (on an uncertain planet)

this is a poetry booklet/zine we created for the exhibition "STING", featuring art by zest collective and hosted by auger collective. 

as of writing this, the exhibition hasn't actually opened, but it will be held from the 30th of april to the 9th of may in 2026, and reopen in a different location over the summer.

part of our frustrations with our visual art and poetry disciplines is that people usually go for one or the other, downplaying whichever they have not chosen. by creating convergently and unapologetically, we aim to bridge the gap between bright colours and sombre words. 

insects were chosen as a focus largely because of the exhibition title, but we feel like most people also misunderstand them and do not give them the depth or celebration they deserve. it stings, doesn't it?
